Factors which are influencing the child is becoming more diverse and powerful. There is urgent need for education to be managed well – at the macro level as well as micro. All these are crucial in order to not only produce excellent students intellectually but also broad-based and who at the same time possess balanced personalities. Schools must developed Islamic personality in students and concerned about events around him especially those that affect the Ummah. In view of these realities, Islamic educational institutions must strive to improve their condition continously. Apart from their role in instilling Islamic values amongst students, Islamic educational institutions must also play the role as a problem solver for the state of education in the muslim community. Therefore, systematic, comprehensive and continuous improvements in Islamic education management must be made to ensure that it stay on path of As Sholah. In general, the Islamic educational institutions today are facing serious challenges and problems in managing themselves effectively. Thus there is an urgent need to reflect on the current practices and consequently propose a better and effective management practices in education. The APRCIE 2008 which will be held on Aug, 2nd-3rd 2008 in Surakarta organized by JSIT under the auspices of ICEE (International Centre for Educational Excellence) hopes to deliberate and critically analyse current management practises, disseminate useful and practical solutions on the management of Islamic Education. The APRCIE aims to offer significant contributions for the improvement of Islamic Educational Institutions. OBJECTIVES 1. To share experiences and practices in Islamic education management. 2. To identify and promote best practices in Islamic Education Management 3. To propose solutions for management issues in Islamic Education institutions 4.
